My uncle was this way about my grandparents. He assumed he would get the house and every time he would visit, he would lay claim to something they owned. Like "ow I love your tools. I want that someday".

So eventually my grandparents got fed up and gave all of their grandchildren and great grandchildren sizeable amount of money so he couldn't argue about it once they passed away. (I also could not believe they'd squirreled away that much money. They've always lived extremely modestly.)

No their only big asset is their house, which I'm guessing they'll leave to someone other than him in the will to really seal the deal on cutting him out.

I love them, it's hilarious.
