There are benelovent organizations out there, sure, but you haven't exactly negated the fact that most governmental institutions are utterly fucked. One of your examples hasn't got the cleanest history, either, with institutional child abuse and vehement opposition to your first example recorded. Another one has a problem with CEOs using the institution as their personal slush fund; It's debatable how many "charity" organizations are little more than scams.
How does an institution function independently of the people that run it? Policy; Policy prioritized over individual discretion. Perhaps you've not yet had to do something against your better judgement because someone in authority mindlessly demands it and you will suffer if you do not comply. Or had to make shit up in order to stop the company you work for from robbing people legally. Lucky you. Of course someone, somewhere, created such a policy. They'll never have to answer for it; institutions all too often act as the antithesis to the notion of personal responsibility.
Institutions could be said to behave like intelligent beings ("Corporations are people too" and all that jazz), quite self-serving ones at that, doesn't mean they are sentient beings.
It's not all bad. Good things get done. Organization is integral to achieving great things. I'm happy to admit that. But change is not only required, it's inevitable. Don't fall for this line. The best isn't good enough sometimes, not by a long shot.
Just because other shitheads have replied to you in this subreddit doesn't mean we're all shitheads who take things too seriously. Calm the fuck down, dude.
