Can we take a little and watch this, a lot of people and the hosts think trump has never said anything racist.

He was backed into a corner trying to say multiple times that that was for the people to decide. He made it extremely obvious throughout that that he didn't have a solid answer and the guy kept backing him into a corner until he said an answer that wasn't really honest. He kept saying "well it should be banned" and "well you have to ban it. I'm against-" before being cut off. Clearly the guy was trying to eek an answer out of Trump that Trump did not want to give. He later cleared up that he believed the doctor giving the woman the abortion should be punished. He tried to point to Matthews, asking him if he was Catholic, trying to point out that, as his opinion didn't line up with his church's opinion, he was in much the same boat as Trump but was pushed so far into a corner to get a half-baked answer that he basically forced to give an answer that might sound like something the Republican party would give.

It's been talked a lot about on PKA before but Trump has been a liberal most of his life and it's pretty clear he's only under the Republican umbrella because of his stances on religion, "the wall," and political correctness, none of which could put him on the side of the Democratic party. If he were an independent party candidate he probably wouldn't get the attention he would need to get as far as he has gotten.
