You can never do good in this world

My Grandfather told me a joke like this once, it goes like:

A boy and his grandfather were taking a donkey into the village, the boy was riding on the donkey, and a passer-by said "look at the young boy making that old man walk." So the boy came down from the donkey, and his grandfather got on. Then another passer-by said "look at that man, making that little boy walk." So the grandfather came down and put the boy on the donkey with him. Then another passer-by came and said "Look at those two, working that donkey so hard." So the Grandfather came down and took the boy down too, and decided that they should carry the donkey, so as they are carrying the donkey, they get to a bridge and one of them makes a mistake and the donkey falls over the bridge and drowns. That goes to show you, you can't please everyone, and if you try, you might as well kiss your ass goodbye.

Note: I'm sorry I made you sit through a paragraph for that, also, why the grandfather came to the conclusion of carrying the donkey, I'll never know.
