Stop with the misinterpretations of the law! It clearly states 8 weeks worth not 8 week payments. No where does it say over an 8 week period unless initially filing for PPP, not for payroll compensation for forgiveness. Unless outlined by your State there is no definitive answer or anything from stopping OP from doing it. It’s clearly a gray area which I can only assume they will fill soon. But to say he is committing fraud is wrong. If he does do it and they come out with clearer/newer guidelines the worst that would happen is he would void his PPP forgiveness. Stop with the bullshit already. I’m tired of people taking their opinions and trying to twist them as facts when no one really knows for sure. That’s why we are all still waiting for better guidance on these particular issues.
