Can Religion and Science complement each other?

Naw. I wouldn't know how to measure the outcome. Besides, I can see it both ways, depending on whether we're talking about actual religions that exist or idealized ones that probably never will. I think this is just more of a thinking exercise.

Yeah. How to do stuff is clearly science's turf. Effectiveness can be objectively measured. What's harder to objectively measure is what things are worth doing. Since science won't take a position on subjective stuff like that, someone else needs to step up. Unfortunately,our religions are all insane and our politicians are mostly corrupt. I'm just wishing someone would do a better job in that role. I'm definitely not trying to suggest our existing religious or political institutions are worth salvaging.
