Can you remember a time when you've been swayed by propaganda? Do you think if it were happening you'd realize it?

Propaganda is pretty loaded term, maybe like pornography you think you will know it when you see it, but it doesn't work out like that. You have to train yourself, and it often means discounting things you agree with or can at least believe at a gut level, For me, anytime someone is telling me qualitative judgements about something, while not disclosing the facts, they are propagandizing and I try to unsee it. A news outlet will say someone made "controversial remarks," but without giving the remarks or context is just one example. It's tiresome, but if you actually read articles and not headlines, you realize how much most outlets are trying to shape your opinions and feelings, and giving you very little by way of uncurated information.
