QAnon and the ilk are symptoms and the result of mental illness. As such there is little that someone else can do about it without the understanding and cooperation of the stricken individual. Like any mental illness unless the person acknowledges they had an issue there is little hope of them getting cured.

As you have likely read there is just no reasoning with these people. One of their prophecies fails to come true and it's just twisted around in bizarre ways to explain it away or prove that it actually DID come true. I've heard that some Q's are now willing to wear a mask and social distance. Why? Because they are convinced that the vaccinated will 'shed' the vaccine or antibodies. Even to the point of people who previously claimed it was all a fauxdemic are now believing it was real and that they can get it or worse because of the vaccinated. This just shows how desperate they are always right, even to th epoint of proving themselves wrong.

This whole thing is going to take time. A lot of time. And I fear that they may do significant damage in that time. We have not seen even the beginning of the end of this thing.
