Can someone explain vacation time earned for military retired member working at the VA?

So if you turn in your DD-214 during the hiring process if you did 4-15 years you will get 6 hours vacation and 4 hours sick doesn’t matter if you retired or not. If you did over 15 years you get 8 hours vacation 4 for sick. And you don’t have to do the military buy-back plan for this. Because it’s time served In federal service. In terms of the other guy who is expecting a lot of retroactive time don’t count on it. Unless your a nurse or doctor the max you can have of vacation per year is 240 hours and then you’re in use it or lose it. You cannot sell your leave but you can donate it. And your allowed unlimited sick leave. If you have any further questions or complaints if you don’t get your time. Speak to your federal union rep. They will help you correct it doesn’t matter if you pay in or not as everyone is in the union regardless unless you’re in a leadership position.
