Can starting a business make you financially stable?

Yes it can.

Will it? Not likely.

In an MBA class i took recently, we reviewed that 99% of startups do not receive VC funding. funding gives your company the room to grow while burning through cash.

I raised my hand and asked.. "shouldn't we learn about the other 99% of ways to fund a startup?". The response was, "you are not the other 99%. You have the history, the practice, the corporate training, the pedigree, and the education to be that 1%."

Not saying it's right, but i grew up a stones throw from a trailer park until i was in my teens. I transferred to a wealthy area after than. I know if i didn't move, if i wasn't exposed to the people i have been, and learn the language of these people, i wouldn't be in that classroom.

Is it right? Maybe, maybe not. I hope to be one of the few people int he world to have cashed a welfare check and a 6 figure check.

Point being there is it isn't just, "start a business and be rich.". There are years of nuanced training that go into it tri be successful
