Can we stop shitting on developers who don't have any authority on how overwatch 2's development has gone or what has and has not been done?

While you are right on some things, I also disagree with you on some points.

In my experience from having worked with the industry, I know that devs do have some power on decisions. Not on how to monetize, often they will not even asked and than have to simple do it. Other things, they absolutely do have sayings and are in the lead. Those include updates to the game. Which includes for example the PvE campaign.

It might be true that developers have been pulled. Sure. Nonetheless, the head of those teams is responsible for deadlines etc. Therefore this person is to blamed correctly to a certain extend.

Pouring your heart and soul into a project you do not have a stake in, let alone own partially of the IP or shares, is usually a very stupid thing to do. While it sucks and it isn't necessarily fair to the people who do so. They get exploited. Yet they get also a lot of blame for the community. In the end the only question that matters is money. If people do not want to work on the project, you and me as consumers reached a goal, meaning quality has to improve. This comes with giving people more authority.

Vote with your wallet - it's the only thing a company like Activision Blizzard cares about.
