Can we stop with the hyperbole? Or at least cut back on it?

A lot of people see in black and white these days, it stands to reason that film fans would have very extreme, binary tastes to boot. Most people refuse to have level-headed conversations or observe nuance in the Social Media age, mostly because level-headedness and nuance aren't eye catching. Bold claims, both positive and negative, are what grab attention. It's all about drama, action, selling your voice as a personal brand and not an informed opinion.

Hyperbole is the voice of a generation that has been urged to perform every day for the last 12 years since social media started to take off. Reddit is just another stage for them to perform on.
