Can I sue after a fatal accident if it has been 12 years?

This post deserves more upvotes. Maybe it's late from a legal standpoint, but from a humanitarian viewpoint, justice should have no time limit. (Let's say some murder was committed a dozen years ago, but the killer was discovered just recently, will you let go of him saying the case is too old.)

In absence of a CD showing the bottom half of the footage, I wonder if they'd even go to the extent of labelling it a 'suicide'.

Maybe defaming the hotel and posting about it on social media might have got you some unofficial compensation. But I understand doing all this when you are broken emotionally is hard.

If you were in a socialist country, you would have received atleast some help, be it from court or community. The compensations may not be as high as in the 'coffee spill' case but atleast the incident would be looked at sympathetically.
