Why can’t we block every user?

It can't be, but sometimes it is. Imagine if Microsoft tomorrow decided to start displaying ads everywhere in windows. They know the impact to the user experience would be a lot less than the revenue generated. Plus, what are you going to do? Install Linux? /s.

Businesses don't care about the user experience until it starts affecting their bottom line. If you're lucky, the people who work for that business will care enough, but when the investors and shareholders start putting on pressure, a few unhappy customers is a small price to pay for increased revenue.

Apologies if that came off a bit cynical, I've been with boneheaded business managers for the past few weeks and its beginning to rub off.
