Can’t help but feel I’m faking my personality

In my experience, most people, at some stage or another, have these existential concerns, where they question how much of them, is actually them, and how much is them behaving like they think others want them to behave.

And most people say and do nice things to appear nicer or because they know it’s the ‘right’ thing to do.

But equally pretending to like ‘cool’ things, because it makes you look ‘cool’ never REALLY works, people see through it, and I’d rather be friends with an honest dweeb than a fake hipster.

So much of it is down to confidence, mainly confidence that your own life, and interests, and traits are enough.

Once you believe that you ARE enough just the way you are. People will start to feel the same way about you.
