I can’t sleep. I take my placement test for my GED Tomorrow morning.

I'm also 23 and I took all of them this year. I'm not a mom, I'm just a foreigner from another country, born in the us... and long story short had to move away and when I got back, I needed it for my higher education. It took me a while to get it because my community college didn't ask for it, and I was debating on getting my high school education evaluated for so long... I ended up putting it on the back burner while continuing my studies. I wish i hadn't done that, but it can't be helped.

Some things have to be done first, and for you, your priority may have been your child or something else. There will be always things that we can't avoid, or sometimes life will happen, and when it comes to it, we gotta do what we gotta do. You're still young (as am I), and what matters is that you're doing it. Consider it a ladder for better things to come :) and if you have to take a step back, and try it again, it makes you no better or worse, every person is different. Taking your time is important!

As far as the GED test.... It isn't bad. I believe there's two type of testers, the ones that really downplay it as super easy, and those that have opposite experiences. I don't know if it differs from state to state, but I'm from California. I think out of every test, math is the only one I have yet to reschedule and repeat. It really depends on if you study, I think, or if you have some previous education. I didn't study and passed, but didn't get enough scores for college credit. Math isn't hard either but it's stuff you have to go through, or else you won't be able to answer correctly.

If you studied and all, or if you have some sort of background education, you'll pass, if not ace it. I also know some people who had none of the latter and claimed it was all logic and common sense. Either way, deep breaths, you got this.

Not exactly a happy story but I hope this was somewhat reassuring. Godspeed!
