Can we get Xpecial as a position coach for bio at worlds?

dunno, you could make the argument why are we bothering with MrRallez? or why did we initially want to have both WildTurtle and Doublelift when WildTurtle was "clearly just the inferior ADC".

Because MrRallez (and WildTurtle) are currently considered good players and brings something to the table. He puts up similar stats to Doublelift, but creates less pressure and requires less resources. This allows Sven to play more towards the topside of the map, allowing Hauntzer to play more like he did in the spring split.

forced him to feel he had to always step up his game with someone lurking, it gave him the chance to split scrim time and not get completely burned out, and it gave him someone else who knows the role that he can bounce ideas off of and discuss stuff with and get a possibly different viewpoint/opinion on things

This is all contingent if:

  1. Xpecial has comparable mechanical skilled and game knowledge to Biofrost.
  2. Biofrost is actually experiencing burn out.

I stated in another post that there's a good chance Biofrost has a better grasp of the current game than Xpecial due to being on a team that can and does execute at a higher level. This assumption leads me to believe that Xpecial won't be able to offer Biofrost much. Especially since strategies have changed over time, much of Xpecial's experience may not be applicable. We know Doublelift experienced burn out, so the worry of him doing so again is there. Biofrost has not exhibited any signs or hinted at it, so I don't think it would be worth splitting scrims between Biofrost and Xpecial. It would be quite difficult to get enough scrim (and on-stage) practice between the four possible combinations of Xpecial, Biofrost, MrRallez, and Doublelift and the rest of the team.

IMO the more heads theorycrafting/brainstorming things about support/how to play support there are, the better.

Sure, I agree with you here. But, let me ask you this: Why do you think Xpecial would be a great fit and not a support like Matt, Gate, or Hakuho? Personally, I think Hakuho would be a better choice than Xpecial if TSM were looking for a 7th-man/support sub. His aggressive style could pair very strongly with an ADC who is as lane-dominant as Doublelift. To me, Xpecial and Biofrost are very similar players, so having them work together doesn't seem like it would be too fruitful.

what information is outdated/strategies from last year worked that don't work now?

Lane swapping, Dragon play (5-stack vs Elemental drakes), etc.
