Canada’s Donald Trump? Doug Ford is proving that label doesn’t fit

He only started to listen, when it was obvious everything he was doing was wrong for Ontario, and he had an approval rate in the teens. I mean he was not going to survive the next election like that as there was going to be a mutiny.

But he's still the same bludgeoning populist, if not worse, considering this is Ontario.

And when I say least intelligent, I'm actually saying he's stupid. Sloan has his own problems, but he's not actually dumb. I'm not name calling, but Ford simply does not have the complex mental capacity needed. The guy can't put an grade 7 English sentence together, let alone think in complex terms. I mean, it's scary how obviously unintelligent he is. I don't have anyone on my life who's dumber than he is, and my friends aren't that smart.

Ontario is way too complex a province for someone with such a low IQ. I'm a progressive conservative, but it's embarrassing as a Canadian he's premier. It makes all of us in Ontario look so bad to the outside world whenever he's on TV. That is the one way he is different from Trump. Now, if he wasn't an easily led populist, because he's too simple to know what a integrated economy means, it wouldn't be as dangerous.
