Canada's opinion of US reaches record 35-year low after election of Donald Trump

I'm going to speak subjectively in my own mind.

I used to be jealous of the US. I remember how much offered for them and they were the source of almost everything I grew up with. I always imagined it was a place where people were able to express themselves and whatever more I was hypnotized by as a child.

I grew up and I started taking in facts and knowledge for everything the US has been for the past 100 years. I realize now I am very lucky to live in Canada, though I do not think we're perfect, but with that being said we're able to work along to improve things without picking sides as strong. Places like the US, there's too much black and white and not so much grey going on. Freedom had been diluted to the choice between Coke or Pepsi, McDonalds or Burger King, whatever more. I have tolerated their loud presence for so long; colourful, toxic, absolutely sensationalist, bias world - It's gotten to the point I do want to stay informed over what's going on globally, though I almost have to mute the US for how dishonest most things are, it's insane. Money has become more important in most cases and there are people over there in power who make decisions such as ruining other counties and the lives of millions - for money. It affects us as Canadians, too.

I'm at the point I hate the country, I hate everything it stands for, I understand why people over the world do not like America (though with that being said there are plenty of countries who love the US after everything.) Overall I sympathize with those hurting over there and I only want the best for them. The US is a suffering country beyond the eyes of Hollywood.
