Is the Canadian Dream dead?

The hardest part about swallowing this pill to me, Is how much others ask for. I was in college for 6 months before I chose to take a trade so I could start making money.

After I chose to make money, it has been recession after recession involving paycuts, the world telling me that I'm the problem because I work in the energy sector and that I hate nurses because of it, all while the people that give me this grief want free education, safe spaces built, basically things that cost money.

I'm already losing almost half my cheque if I'm forced to work 14 hour days doing this shit.

I want to see my taxes helping but I also don't have it in me to keep working these hours and only seeing peanuts while such an overwhelming internet majority wants my cheque to become lower so they can have more.

I don't have trust in either government or their spending and no answers as it looks like we already hopped on the raft and are heading down the river. But my Canadian dream at this point is nothing more than a day off work
