Canadian Healthcare

Never trust the state for decent healthcare.

My mental health went to hell in Germany because they refused to give me any decent medications for my autism. Sure, the mental health hospitals were great, but I can’t end up there 2 times a year and have a normal life. They were teaching me meditation and art which though fun, was not going to treat my neurological condition. They acted like my autism was some temporary bout of depression or something. After 2 years of this they finally decided to give me a different medication that cost me 120 euro not covered by insurance and it wasn’t even the medication I needed in the first place. For 5 entire years I dealt with this, there was no way I could live a normal life like that.

In comparison it took a whopping 30 minutes and 25 euro to get the correct medication I needed with private healthcare in Ukraine. It took 100 USD and about 1 hour to get similar medications that worked for me in the US without insurance
