That is interesting... and I can’t speak for others, but I’m prepping for both - leaving or staying to fight. Really boils down to the election for me: If he is re-elected, I’m leaving and already have wheels in motion to get out quick. If he loses the election, I stay, but am expecting things to get a bit rough in the US, so need to prep for that. Might seem simplistic to hinge it on the US election, but the 10,000 ft view is: if he is re-elected (by people or by force), the country will fall further into fascism. I don’t want to be around for the 4 additional years of falling and knowing what’s likely to happen based on history/other countries that have gone through this. If he actually loses, it shows that there’s still a glimmer of hope for democracy in this country - and that seems to be worth fighting for.
