Boomers were not the generation receiving participation trophies for just showing up, which has allowed for a generation of snowflakes who would rather whine about how hard life is instead of working at jobs that were not their dream jobs so they could support themselves. Boomers were drafted at 18 to go fight in a war they had no reason to be fighting in, were called murderers when returning home, denied disability for Agent Orange illness. They survived serious racial unrest and a number of recessions. Remember half the things you learn in history class is nothing more than propaganda.
