He didn't deserve any suspension.
Any other boxer who doesn't bring in revenue like Canelo would've gotten that 2 year ban.
That is completely false. Francisco Vargas tested positive for clenbuterol on April 21st 2016 in the lead up to his fight vs Salido, claimed tainted meat, and was allowed to fight on June 4th 2016 as originally planned.
Lucas Browne tested positive for clenbuterol in March 2016. Even after a failed test he was scheduled to fight in November 2016 until he failed another test, popping for ostarine this time. Even after two failed tests for different substances, Browne was allowed to fight in June 2017, just 7 months later. None of them bring in revenue even close to what Canelo does.
