I cannot fucking stand how people get to decide what races can't be racist due to their history

just to take this to an extreme:

there’s honestly very little room to pity you I feel. I get your frustration and yes, it’s unfortunate that you are getting flak when you’re probably a decent guy or something. It’s tough, but you’re not going to find a minority pity party to validate your feelings (however justified). Racism is bad and feeling disrespected because of your race feels bad. Idk if you’re american but It’s just almost laughable to hear white people get surprised that their woes aren’t met with more sympathy considering just how long america has spent avoiding its past and how much it has failed to reconcile the resulting consequences.

What i’m going to say next is not to justify bad ideas or endorse the hypothetical, but to maybe illuminate a difference.

The part that people ignore as relevant that I think is abundantly clear to every black person all of the time is that if every black person in the US decided simultaneously that they all hate white people, that they’re subhuman and want to exterminate them, almost every white person in this country would still be safe. They can go to bed fine knowing that shit will happen outside of a paranoid mind.

on the flip side you have a population that has already been beaten, murdered, sterilized, lynched, defrauded , incarcerated etc. etc. that is acutely aware that if black people ever slide back into being the “problem race”, there’s not a single aspect of their lives that wouldn’t be affected.

So when you hear about the pain racism is bringing white people it’s hard to care. You seem to be troubled by a feeling that’s new to you, and worried that it’ll lead to adverse outcomes which is familiar to me. But either way, the bankers are white, the landowners are white, the law enforcement is white, the media and tech executives are white so where in life is this racism against white people hurting you so much that you need to let it out.
