CO2 lags temp and not just initially but often for centuries.

But if you actually try to back this up with a scientific source you're going to be disappointed. The links you've cited don't say what you think they do.

If it was the sun then all layers of the atmosphere would warm at once, but that's not happening. The stratosphere is cooling because greenhouse gases are blocking rising longwave radiation: [1] [2]
