Cant find an answer so I’m here! Is USPS supposed to “prove delivery” with eBay standard envelope shipping?

Are you talking about the white envelopes with the little barcode down below the address only eBay does for stuff like baseball cards? That isn’t tracking. The barcode I think gets read when it runs thru automation machines. Its something eBay worked out where it gets read on the machines to prove it was actually mailed. It’s not tracking where we can scan the accepted at the counter and u can follow it step by step. I think if we hit it with our hand scanner it will scan…and most likely a carrier may try for the hell od it…..and that’s where the 60% are coming in. I don’t scan these at the counter. They get out right in the regular old letter tray.
If you need actual tracking you need to send it first class, priority, or certified mail which costs a lot more.
