I cant do it anymore.

The day we see mod packs is the day I lose interest in modding my game. Why? It will mean stagnation of the vibrant modding scene we have now. If mod packs become the norm, then count me out.

I know I'm not the only one who finds modding my game so fun simply because everything is so modular that it allows me to create a unique experience. I want to wake up tomorrow and see what interesting mods people are contributing that weren't there today. I'm not even picky. I don't care if it's a massive overhaul that changes the game or skimpy waifu follower #38927. I don't care if it's an instant download for me or something I will never use in my game. I'm just thrilled to see people continuing to contribute their gifts and talents. Why would I ever want a mod pack? Seriously, if I don't have the energy to mod my game, then I'm the one who's burned out. If mod packs become the norm, then it's the scene that's burned out.

I mean, some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice, but one way or another this will come to an end. If I feel it's too much trouble to customize my own game with mods, work through conflicts, wrestle with the frustrations and rewards of problem solving, then I'll just play another game that looks and plays well out of the box, and I won't trouble myself with modding at all.

Seriously, I think it's good that you're out, and I don't mean that as an insult. If this is truly how you feel, then this is obviously not making you happy. Try a different game.
