I can't believe we're still having this discussion, Tampa: my mask protects you; your mask protects me. We need each other. It's good medical science.

If you doing something only negatively affects you but does not affect other people, the government should have no say. If you want to smoke cigs? Go nuts. If you want to smoke cigs in a restaurant? No way. You want to drink until your liver is yellow? Go nuts. You want to drink and drive? No way. Same thing applies to the mask. If you want to go out into a store wear a mask because the mask is for other people's safety, not your own. Your initial comment of "I think a mask is still primarily for the wearer's benefit" is not based on facts and is actually the opposite. If you have Covid and wear a mask and I don't, my chances of acquiring Covid are around 5%. If you have Covid and don't wear a mask but I do, I still have around a 70% chance of acquiring it.
