Why Can't I Eat Frozen Food

I guess it really depends how well insulate the house is. If you covered all the windows, like many of the cdda houses are i.e. curtains, then it would definitely help. But over the course of a month even a well build house will eventually be as cold inside as it is outside. Unless it's specifically engineered for low temps over long periods which isn't common.

I personally love the freezing mechanic, helps keep food longer. In winter you can just freeze everything without fear of it thawing. And if it doesn't get mushy like some items then even in spring having food outside is a major bonus.

Hunting in winter is great, even if you have tons of extra meat it's gonna freeze and you'll have plenty of time to prep it using other long-term storage methods.
