Why can't I just walk into a shelter, and walk out with an animal?

Because we’ve become a retarded mess of red tape and bureaucracy for just about everything. We’ve complicated life to ridiculous levels. It’s like heating my husband who is in auto manufacturing say that pretty soon we will have “add one” where our heated car seats will have monthly payments like the Tesla does. You can’t just own a car, it has to be multi level profitable. Kids can’t take cupcakes to school for birthdays because there’s 1 kid who can’t eat nuts. So let’s make a ton of rules and red tape for everything to cover our overly litigious country.

What a great argument for the shelter to change their procedures and bring awareness to the fact that if you want shelter pets to go to homes then don’t make it a climbing Mount Everest event! It’s beyond absurd. We’ve gone and fucked up life with layers and layers of unnecessary bullshit.
