Because men are gross. I tried to be friends with two men a while ago. They constantly made sexual jokes about women, but I didn't really care. I mean, yeah it's gross, but I'm not their mother. HOWEVER, then they started to direct the jokes towards me (saying inappropriate things about me.) I honestly take stuff like that as a compliment, but I can't see it as anything other than sexual harassment when it's coming from "friends."

I still have guy friends, but they're not people I meet up with on the weekends or anything. I like being friendly with people, but I will never have male best friends or friends I'm close with again.

And before anybody says anything - I don't have a problem with guys talking about women. That's been happening since the beginning of time. It's just a fact of life. However, I personally don't want to hear catcalling unless it's from a stranger. Otherwise, it's just disturbing.
