I can't be the only one who dislikes Joe Stapleton

Didn't he basically get fired from ESPN's WSOP coverage? IIRC he was "not invited back" after a certain year. 2018? 2019? Something like that.

He has kind of a cringe/dad jokes style. Willing to try a lot of odd stuff. Some of it works. A lot of it doesn't. I don't actively dislike him, but he takes a lot of swings and doesn't always connect.

Poker isn't exactly where AAA level hosting talent dreams of ending up. It's a small and somewhat shallow pond when it comes to broadcasting talent. I don't mean that as a harsh diss on Stapes, but basically poker is a very niche thing with a small group of personalities who keep getting the hosting/on-air opportunities.
