Why can't people guess my made up gender on sight?

Eh, we are a sexually dimorphic species. And there are certain things that go along with that. There's a reason 90% or more of men are sexually attracted to women, and vice versa. We are hardwired a certain way according to our sex.

But there's a difference between sex and gender roles. It's one thing to say "I acknowledge that I am female, but I don't want to be a girly girl, I want to be a little more masculine." and another to say "I don't want to be a typical girly girl so please don't use female pronouns around me?" If you don't have gender dysmorphia (and perhaps I'm wrongfully assuming these people don't) and it doesn't actually fuck with your head when someone calls you "she" (as it might when someone feels they are a boy their whole life but is constantly called a girl), then do you really have to make a big deal out of it? Or are you actually making a big deal out of it because you have some kind of "it's 2016, I can be whatever gender I want and have whatever pronouns I want" attitude?
