I can't stop thinking about children

You should be 30-32yo before having kids.

IMO this is sort of the whole problem with western society.

If his children also follow this advice, he will then be a grandfather at 60-64, and likely dead before becoming a great-grandfather.

Imagine this "radical" thought experiment -- suppose he has children right now at 24 and his children follow suit.

Then he is a grandfather at 48, a great-grandfather at 72, and likely dead before becoming a great-great-grandfather but not before seeing his great-grandchildren into their teens.

So while as patriarch he may struggle and not live a high-flying, obligation-free, sexually-adventurous lifestyle he has the potential to be far more to his descendants.

He will shepherd three generations, while the late starter will only see two (perhaps only one). Furthermore, the third generation will benefit even more than the second due to his always-accumulating knowledge and experience.

Naturally, contemporary feminist thought counters this life-path directly by encouraging the addition of "whore" and "career" phases to the lives of women.

It would be interesting to know how OP regards his elders.
