A society that ascribes decency to this notion is a patently unethical society that ought to be emphatically criticized and opposed; the cultural pathways individuals inhabit define their existence within the social space in which they reside, aiding the formation of identity through the analysis of one's own position, the positions of others (as they relate to one's own), and the abstracted positions in and of themselves. To assign some sort of universal law, akin to what you're saying, to all societies (or any, in this case) then seems to me a failure to consider the very nature of how societies' cultures function. In that sense, no, you oughtn't have been euthanized.

I read your reply to another user here, in which you said:

There is literally nothing that makes me uncomfortable, save for things that would actively hurt society.

That, to me, is a blatantly socially healthy mindset (presuming you're not an ethically bankrupt person, which I've no reason to believe). You're not a worthless person, OP -- do consider my advice.
