See to me people who think and react in the name of being woke have the right and noble intentions. It's when they all get together on Twitter, skew facts about certain cases of oppression and then make one ideology or event that happens seem like it's an evil virus of Satan. The woke culture on Twitter especially seem to love censorship as long as it benefits them. Which brings me to cancel culture: Cancelling books, as you said, and cancelling other things that were products of their time are not as effective and good for society as those who participate in the culture would think. What was made in its' time is not a perpetuation of further racism, homophobia, or any sort of prejudice, but a reminder that this is how things were, and we don't ever EVER have to go back to that. Censorship is not a good thing for any ideology or individual no matter how you frame it.
