Capitalism is garbage

Fairness is absolutely not one of them.

If people were paid based on the value they provide to society trashmen should be paid similarly to doctors. People are paid based on how well people in a similar position can leverage the scarcity of their skillset against their employer.

Holy shit. I honestly don't know where to start. The amount of stupid in your post is overwhelming.

Let's focus on this for now:

If people were paid based on the value they provide to society trashmen should be paid similarly to doctors.

...no. Not at all. ANYONE who isn't crippled can be a trashman. It's skill-less. What's the most skilled part of that job? Driving. A 13 year old can drive. You know what not everyone can do? Run a company. Perform surgery. Those kinds of people are FAR more valuable to society.

Let's run a scenario to put it into perspective.

You are in the Zombie Apocalypse. Your camp has been overrun. You can save 2 out of 4 people. There is a doctor, a cop, a trashman, and a bicycle repairman. Who do you save?

If you used any logic, you probably picked the doctor and the cop, people with important skills. People who are far more valuable to society.

People with these skills and positions are FAR more important than others. THAT is why the are paid more. Because they can bring more to the table than others. A heart surgeon is more essential to the people than someone who flips burgers.

And that's why Capitalism shines. The important are rewarded. The useless and unskilled don't get as much as the useful.
