If people can't even agree with climate scientists, or at least start the debate with the agreement that some level of collectivism and long term planning is necessary, it's pointless. If you can't agree on basic facts or desired outcomes the conversation goes nowhere. People in this thread are literally saying there was no way to prevent this, and starting the debate there. How disengenious can you be? So the "debate" just turns into a bunch of people (like yourself) insulting each other and arguing in bad faith. It really seems like nobody is interested in a solution here. So really, this a waste of time. Enjoy the last decade we have with a relatively stable climate friend.
