Captain Tom Moore awarded knighthood for NHS fundraising. The war veteran raised more than £32m for NHS charities by completing 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday in April.

Colonel Sir Tom Moore

he was awarded colonel status recently

I pointed this out earlier and called out the BBC article, that in my opinion has it wrong for saying he will be Captain Sir Thomas Moore.

Seems some people down vote and comment with no verification of where they get their facts.

Either that or they come to the defense of the BBC.

As a UK citizen and TV license payer, I totally respect the BBC as an institution which has at times provided fantastic television and news.

It is not however infallible, as I frequently witness poor grammar, spelling and repetition confirming articles are not properly vetted before distribution.

I expect more for my license fee TBH.
