I dated a Russian girl once whose family fled to the United States after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Her father had some thugs try to bully him out of his construction businesses, which is how a lot of oligarchs operated after the collapse. When he refused, he was found to be a suspect in a murder case, got word of it and left the country. When I asked him about it, he said "in Russia, being innocent or guilty all depends on who you know". I'm not saying the charges against Griner are false, but the thing some people don't realize is that corruption in Russia is incredibly commonplace. And the fact she's a famous American athlete certainly doesn't do her any favors. That said, I still think Boogie could take her one on one.
