yes! and to add, she talks about how she’s so grateful her parents “poured everything they could into her education” despite not being rich (?) but i can’t imagine being aware that my parents were spending such a large chunk of their income on me, and (a) dropping out of NYU AFTER my second year, meaning they are hypothetically paying for another three years rather than two, and (b) (as per the book proposal) spending that time fucking off to Italy and attending balls rather than putting my time and energy into getting the top class education that my (again, not rich, apparently) parents are paying through the nose for. It just seems so ungrateful and irresponsible to throw that all away and party instead of work.

Maybe her family isn’t rich rich, but she definitely treats money like a rich rich girl would.
