The Case Against Reality

This was super interesting. Like you said a lot to unpack but just for the reality being different than what we perceive part....

I have seen that other animals perceive time differently than humans, where it would seem like "slow motion" for us. They also see very differently and we know there are different wavelengths all around us that our eyes don't pick up on. So for me the idea that humans (and everything else) has evolved their own realities for "fitness" and disregarded the traits that aren't needed for survival make sense. Like he says about the rock, why would we care if the rock has its own consciousness if we can't communicate with it? I would think having all this extra input would actually hinder our ability for survival, especially if the consciousness and reality of the rock (or tree or whatever) is so different from humans. Anyway just my 2 cents about the reality part. I am definitely going to follow some of the science behind this because it's very exciting to see something like this that might be backed up by science.
