In case y'all forgot, Lucky is AMAZING

I am of the opinion that being at the mercy of the dice is so much more fun than being the master of fate. As the master of fate, you are just partaking in creative story telling. It is no better to me than those guys who are like, "Yeah, but if that was me in that situation I would totally do...".

That is fine outside of a table, I can just laugh as I know you really couldn't. But having to now bring into this fake reality that you actually did do those things, and successfully none the less, not just getting your shit rocked, it is so boring to me.

You might as well just optimize the build if you want to feel in control of the dice.

Halfling (for the Halfling luck)

Wizard (Arcane Tradition: School of Divination for that sweet portent ability)

And then take that luck ability at level 4 son!

There! No you can multiclass some weird Halfling tank fighter for the rest of the levels and be one of the characters who nothing bad can happen to ever! They are surely the most enjoyable, and interesting players to have at the table.

These players are the reason there are rules regarding rest and exhaustion exist. Good forbid your imaginary friend die.
