Cashiers of reddit, what's some annoying stuff customers do that just makes you go bananas inside?

When I was a cashier, there was this one customer that I hated. He was that douchey guy who thought he was better than everyone else and treated the workers like absolute shit because you know, retail workers deserve it. But, to everyone else (small neighborhood store, ran into people he knew a lot) he was a family man with two young kids and an overall cool guy.

We had open coolers near all the registers where we would have specials and the like. This customer always shopped with a basket and would leave the basket INSIDE THE FUCKING COOLER on top of all the product rather than the designated place on the floor right next to the cooler. To me, that is disrespectful. Besides that, he would never hand his money to the cashier and would just throw it down on the counter all balled up and shit. I dealt with this guy for three years, at least once every couple of weeks. This was the kind of customer that makes your blood boil just at the sight of him. His overall attitude towards all the workers was disgusting, but as soon as he saw someone he knew, he's do a 180 and be pleasant and all smiles and shit.

One day, I couldn't fucking take it anymore. He came up, emptied his groceries on the belt by just turning the basket over and dumping everything, as per usual, and threw the basket into the cooler. I calmly asked him, "Can you please put the basket on the floor so other customers who are interested in the product over there can do their shopping?" This apparently infuriated him and he looked at me dead in the eye while he picked up the basket and dropped it in the middle of the floor. Ha, okay. I waited until he threw his money down to pay, and then I made a show of walking all the way around the register to slide the basket two feet away under the belt where it belonged. I walked back to the register, took his money and made his change, then instead of placing it in his outstretched hand, I put everything nicely down on the counter. He swore at me, picked up the coins only to throw them all over the place and stormed out. Luckily for me, he never came through my line after that.
