It was the early 90's, I was 12 or 13 years old and these watches we everywhere; I thought they were so cool! I always wanted one but never had one. Years passed, other watches came and went and somewhere in the shuffle I completely forgot about these.

Then this weekend descended upon me and I was considering that I wanted an inexpensive and basic sport watch. I popped onto Amazon input my search and started scrolling...and there they were in all their varied and colorful glory. How could I have forgotten about them! I instantly knew it was what I was going to buy.

I spent the next hour and a half scrolling through all the models and ask the cookies and carefully narrowing down my favorites until I decided on this beauty. This watch is somehow badass and understated at the same time. I feel like the translucent grey band and housing are the perfect neutral Ying to the bright teal face's Yang. I went with the Baby-G because I'm a woman with wrists that fall somewhere in between small and average sized. It looks substantial but doesn't dwarf my wrist, which is exactly what I was going for.

I couldn't be more excited to finally have my own G-Shock watch. I don't know if they're still cool, but now that I'm 38 I don't really give a shit anymore. This watch makes me happy!
