Finished cleaning the wood floors downstairs. Looks nice. I hit them with Lysol wood floor cleaner, then rinsed, then used Pledge wood floor polish. Stepped in a giant wet spot on the floor and changed my nylons yet again....prolly 10th time for today. Wolford "Neon" 40 denier tights. I guess I wasn't paying attention to the NEON part. Very shiney and cute....if you are 17 and a cheerleader, much less so if you are 40 hausfrau polishing floors. Change #11.
Gonna miss this place a lot. It has been my steady friend and companion for 11 years. Sure, it's just a house, but I love it all the way through. I hope whoever buys it loves it as much as I do.
It is interesting to see the neighborhood evolve. When I moved here, it was a newish subdivision with small trees and looked kind of barren. Also...I was the youngest person here by a LONG shot.
There's been a lot of house sales recently, and now there are kids running around and young couples walking and generally just active feeling. Just two years ago, the only person you saw was me and my SO. The evolution is interesting and kind of heart warming, to be honest.
This house will be listed in a few days and is expected to sell that day...which means I better get my ass in gear and secure lodgings at where we are moving to.
Kinda too bad this place exploded in size so quickly. It used to be a nice small berg, now it is LA 2.0 in terms of crowds and traffic.
Onwards and upwards. I hope. :D
