Why isn’t Biden’s pledge to only nominate a black woman to the Supreme Court considered racist or sexist? For the record I’ve got absolutely no problem with there being a black woman nominated. Good for them. Representation matters. However with that said I’ve got a huge problem with including race or gender in the decision making process and consider this to be double standard. I can’t imagine the outrage if any president were to limit their picks to a white man and rightfully so. I also question if he’s causing this nominee further issues because they’re in part being picked based on their race and gender. I have no doubt they’re going to be qualified but are they the most qualified?
