In the Catholic perspective, what is “femininity”?

Femininity is fundamentally about submission. Islam, the religion Islam actually means "Peace through submission," not just "submission" as one often hears in the West.

Peace through submission sums up femininity quite nicely actually, except for the consequence.

With perfect femininity and the God of Abraham equals motherhood. Submission results in peace, but also fruitfulness in a quite literal way as Mary experienced, and every woman experiences in some way when she submits to her husband.

Femininity is submission first, and then motherhood second. And motherhood is the shadow of God, the same as the warrior poet King David, full of imagination and sacrifice for her new child just as the man after God's own heart had imagination and sacrifice for Jerusalem.
