CBD can reduce dependence on opioids

I’m not sure how accurate this is, but I was also on Tramadol for a service connected injury while active duty and at the time I was told it was non-narcotic.

Since I’ve transitioned to care through the VA and have adjusted my activity to better fit my physical limitations, my pain management mostly consists of NSAID’s, OTC pain killers, muscle relaxers and nerve blocks.

Now things have been getting a bit worse over the past few years and we’re talking about gabapentin and my neurologist also brought up Tramadol but said it’s a narcotic which I told him I want to avoid. Not sure if the classification changed or I was misinformed initially, but if it changed that could be the reason the VA is more hesitant to prescribe it than when you were in.
